Democracy Protection is the next natural evolution of this work. The IDN officially launched our Democracy Protection (DP) Training and DP Train the Trainers, the next step in our work.
This training builds on the foundation of the Constitutional Observer program by preparing participants to join Democracy Protection Action Groups in their Senate Districts. These local teams will move from observation to action -organizing, educating, and mobilizing their communities to strengthen civic participation and ensure every eligible voter has access to trusted information, meaningful support, and the confidence to make their voice heard.
We are proud to be among the first to offer this type of training because it signals where this work is heading next: toward community-led action, forward-thinking preparation, a stronger foundation for what democracy will need next.
All in-person trainings will be held in the Twin Cities metropolitan area. Participants outside the metro area are encouraged to register for a virtual training if that is more convenient. Individuals or organizations interested in hosting an in-person training in their community may submit a request by emailing info@immigrantdefensenetwork.org.
